What is a Skin Needling?

Also known as collagen induction therapy, dermapen, micro-needling & made famous by Kim Kardashian as the “Vampire facial”. Skin needling is a special regenerating treatment that safely penetrates the skin creating micro injuries aiding in the repair and rejuvenation of the skin and tissue.

Skin needling kick starts the body’s natural wound healing, The new production and distribution of collagen helps to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, skin laxity, scarring and stretch marks. In 2010 plastic surgery research showed a 140% increase in epidermal thickness.  We recommend 3-6 treatments 4-6 weeks apart and  results can continue to be seen for up to 12 months post treatment.

Micro Skin Needling, uses oscillating micro-needles that create micro-injuries to the skin to encourage the body’s ability to repair itself. The device gently glides over the skin to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin which help to plump, smooth and tighten your skin. This highly effective treatment is ideal for many skin conditions such as uneven skin tone and complexion, pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, surgical scars, acne and acne scars. The wound healing response created, causes collagen to remodel and dramatically improve the appearance of the skin. This treatment can be done on its own or enhanced by adding the DMK enzyme.

The face is the most common area for skin needling treatment; however, other areas such as the hands, neck chest and back can be treated just as successfully.
